Arizona teacher requirements
All Leona schools in Arizona are fully accredited by the North Central Association. All core-subject teachers must be highly qualified and it is preferred that teachers be both highly qualified and certificated in Arizona. It is possible to work while obtaining Arizona credentials. Applicants who are certified in another state may obtain an Arizona certificate by passing relevant portions of the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment. To be considered for employment, all applicants must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, obtained by calling the Arizona Department of Public Safety, 602.223.2279.
