Professional Development

Central to the success of the Quality Schools Initiative is the intensive and ongoing professional development that occurs in support of schools managed by The Leona Group. Leona Group encourages team members to pursue professional growth and advancement. High-quality professional development and use of educational best practices are key to school success. Professional development time is built into many school calendars, assuring that staff are able to take the time necessary to make development a priority.

Extensive professional development is provided to curriculum coaches, school leaders and faculty. Common professional development dates among regional groups of Leona-managed schools allow for collaborative professional development efforts among schools. Independent professional development is encouraged for all staff. In addition, curriculum coaches meet regularly with curriculum peers from other area schools to address common issues and concerns, share best practices and receive professional development on central issues relevant to all schools managed by The Leona Group.
