English Language Learner (ELL) Services

Some Leona Group schools have significant populations of students who do not speak English as their primary language. English Language Learner (ELL) programs are designed to support English Language Learners at each of our sites.

Through the use of school-level facilitators and coordinators, students receive Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) instruction using research-based methods. Through the use of English language arts and English language development classes, students are exposed to grade-appropriate state standards while acquiring fluency in English through reading, writing, speaking and listening activities.
